100 percent measurement by robots
Many optimisations in the field of quality management are possible by using intelligent automation. Image processing and non-contact measurements make measurements more reliable. Thanks to non-contact measurements hundred-percent inspections become possible, which completely prevent any dispatch of any defective component. NIO (not in order) parts can be eliminated from production, additionally various NIO boxes for various types of defects (too long, too short, etc.) can be integrated.
We use optical or tactile measuring technology by Keyence Deutschland GmbH for standard requirements. For faster and more complex tasks we rely on solutions by Visicontrol GmbH.
Measurement feedback to the machine
Measurement feedback to the machine provides a decisive advantage. In case of a malfunction, the machine receives a feedback and the machining process will be adapted automatically. Product quality can be improved as 100 percent parts are produced even if material fluctuations occur, quality will still be at a good level.
Uncorruptible unmanned measuring method
The automatic measurement control guarantees that no step of the measurement control can be omitted or forgotten. The measurement results cannot be distorted by external influences like varying light conditions or temperatures.
The unmanned measurement method allows to realise very high standards of quality, as the measuring method sorts out all NIO parts: perfect parts are guaranteed. What’s more, the parts can be dropped into customer-specific trays.
Another advantage is that the machined parts do not come into contact with other materials, substances and will not be touched by humans. Thus, further soiling can be avoided.
Last but not least, immediate measurements ensure short test times. The area around the measured object is extracted with pinpoint precision and processed on sub pixel level accuracy. This ensures hundreds of measurements per seconds – quick and highly precise at the same time.
